This recording was made for the 5th anniversary of the founding of the Fats Jazz Band. In the 14-part playlist, we show the enlargement of the orchestra's repertoire, therefore you find there arrangements of recordings from 1928 up to 1947. The Fats Jazz Band chooses the biggest names into its repertoire: Fats Waller, Teddy Wilson, Bix Beiderbecke, Frankie Trumbauer, Duke Ellington, Coleman Hawkins, Tommy Dorsey, Jack Teagarden, John Kirby, Billie Holiday or Peggy Lee. The dramaturgical culmination of the LP is the song "Hot And Bothered" from the repertoire of the Duke Ellington Orchestra from their Cotton Club engagement, when they recorded the most virtuoso pieces. In addition to a number of historic musical instruments, the use of the old celeste is also new ("That Old Feeling"). You will even find the arrangement of the first recording of the legendary song "Sing Sing Sing" as recorded by its composer, Louis Prima.
